How LifeFone Works

If you ever need assistance, press your personal help button. This could be on a wall-mounted base, wristband, or pendant. As soon as you press that help button, a signal is sent to the LifeFone monitoring center. You’ll be contacted by one of the team and ask you what’s happened. If you need emergency treatment, they will arrange the necessary medical assistance.

Even if you aren’t at home, your on-the-go device will have a GPS tracker built-in which means LifeFone can find out where you are. So, if you do have an accident and need help, but don’t know where you are, the GPS will tell LifeFone all they need to know. It’s really useful, especially if you can’t remember where you are or just are a bit confused.

What Devices Does LifeFone Have?

One of the best features of LifeFone is that they have medical alert packages to suit most individuals. Packages do vary and include the following:

  • The At-Home Landline
This is a fantastic package and comes with the optional fall detection plan. If you choose to add the optional plan then LifeFone can instantly detect when you have a fall. That is useful if you or your loved one is prone to losing their balance. However, a landline is required and is solely for indoor use only. Fortunately, you have a range of 1,000 feet from the base which is really useful and should be ample to move around the home. There is also a back-up battery that lasts around 32-hours; that’s useful in a power cut.Of course, if you don’t want to include the optional fall detection plan you don’t need to. It won’t cost any extra and offers the same features, minus the automatic fall detection feature.
  • The At-Home Cellular Plan
This is very much like the in-home landline plan, except it works wirelessly through cellular networks instead. Fortunately, you get all the features of the landline package and it also comes with optional fall detection. Again, you don’t need to include fall detection.
  • At-Home and On-The-Go GPS and Voice-in-Necklace Package
No landline is necessary for this package. The at-home and on-the-go package comes with a voice-in-necklace system that features a two-way response system. And, the necklace is also resistant to water so it can be worn when you bathe. There is also built-in GPS and optional fall detection can be included.
  • The LifeFone Complete Home Package
This package offers a complete in-home system. It needs a landline but offers smoke, fire, and carbon monoxide detection features. And, it’s available 24/7.

How to Sign Up?

You browse the devices, compare monthly prices, and add your product to your basket. Once you checkout you just need to wait for the device to reach you and you’re good to go. It really is pretty simple and as long as you pay the monthly costs, you’re service will remain active.

Customer Service & Support

If you ever need help you can call LifeFone and speak to one of their customer service representatives. However, you can also email them. One of the more impressive parts of LifeFone is that you can contact them for a variety of reasons, including faulty equipment, everyday inquiries, and more. It is good there is more than one option to contact them on. What’s more, customer support is available 24/7 so that’s reassuring.

Is LifeFone the Right Personal Emergency Device Specialist for You?

On the surface, LifeFone looks very much like another personal emergency service with lots of fancy toys on offer. However, it is a fantastic service with GPS tracking, check-in services, fall detection features, and a 24/7 monitoring center. LifeFone has competitive prices on offer and comes with a price guarantee. That’s really important for every customer and offers more peace of mind also. LifeFone is one to watch.

Final Thoughts

LifeFone is an impressive service and is more varied than you first imagine. It has lots of traditional packages but also carbon monoxide and smoke detection monitoring features. They can be vital in any household and it’s ideal you can get those included. Then, there are GPS trackers, smartphone apps, and even medication reminders. LifeFone is a smart service with a lot on offer.
